Gifts for the minimalist traveler
If you are looking for a gift for a minimalist, your job is arguably somewhat harder. Minimalists don´t want things to put on shelves, so think consumable, think digital, think experience. Do you know a cosmetics brand they like? An online store where they like to shop? An artist or comedian they like?
If that doesn´t spark any ideas yet, here are some specifics:
Itunes gift card
Everybody likes music. Everybody with an iphone, ipod or ipad will find use for an itunes gift card. Even if they use it to renew their skype subscription to call you more often at home – win win!
Instax film
Many travellers like to take a lot of pictures. Recently instant photos have become a trend again. If your loved one has an Instax camera, how about instant films? If not, how about an Instax camera?
Luxury travel size toiletries
Every traveller owns travel size hair care, skin care and if female, likely also make-up. There are some luxury brands that offer travel size packaging which makes for nice gifts, often in very beautiful presentation. Personally, I love giving products by l`Occitane en Provence, because it´s high quality made in France. Clinique is famous for its skin care line. And Pure Brazilian offers a complete travel size hair care line!
Amazon gift card
If you really can´t think of a brand they would like, let them make the choice and get them an Amazon gift card so they can decide themselves.
Travel size perfume
Pretty much every perfume is sold in a small version of 100ml or less, so it can travel in a carry-on. And this is a gift for men and women alike. There are pretty gift sets available of most brands.
Gift cards for experiences
Do you know what music they like? Give them tickets to a concert! Have they mentioned a concert hall they always wanted to see? Give them tickets to an event there. If you cannot decide, ticktmaster offers gift cards too. That way they can chose their own concert.
Who doesn´t like to relax? Give them a massage at a luxury hotel or Spa in their current city. Is your loved one a foodie? How about a tasting at a winery or a restaurant?
Travels like to get out of the house! Give them a ticket to an attraction or a tour they will like.
